In this Privacy Policy, 'us' 'we' or 'our' means Mental Health Metrics. We are committed to respecting your privacy. Our Privacy Policy sets outs out how we collect, use, store and disclose your personal information.

By providing personal information to us, you consent to our collection, use and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and any other arrangements that apply between us. We may change our Privacy Policy from time to time by publishing changes to it on our website. We encourage you to check our website periodically to ensure that you are aware of our current Privacy Policy.

Personal Information is defined in the Privacy Act as being information or an opinion about an individual whose identity is apparent or can reasonably be ascertained from that information or opinion. Personal Information includes, for example, names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, dates of birth and passport numbers.

What type of information do we collect?

We receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. In addition, we collect the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet. We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. We may also collect personally identifiable information (including name, email, password, communications);  comments, feedback, product reviews, recommendations, and personal profile.

How do we collect this information?

When you contact us, as part of the process, we may collect personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. Our website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. We may also collect information when you interact with our sites, services, content and advertising through the use of Cookies and other tracking tools implemented by the Wix.com platform. A Cookie is a packet of data that a website puts on your computer's hard disk to identify you as a visitor to that website. The information collected by Wix.com through Cookies and other means may include: your server address; your domain name; your IP address; the date and time of your visit; the pages accessed and documents downloaded; the previous site visited; the type of browser you used. You may choose to disallow Cookies through your web browser settings.

Why do we collect such personal information?

We collect such non-personal and personal Information for the following purposes:

  1. to enable you to access and use our website and products and services;

  2. to provide our users with ongoing customer assistance and technical support;

  3. to be able to contact our visitors and users with general or personalised service-related notices and promotional messages;

  4. to create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred Non-personal Information, which we or our business partners may use to provide and improve our respective services;

How do we store, use, share and disclose your site visitors' personal information?

Our website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to distribute our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.

We may disclose personal information for the purposes described in this privacy policy to:

 

  1. third party suppliers and service providers (including providers for the operation of our websites and/or our business or in connection with providing our products and services to you); 

  2. professional advisers, dealers and agents;​ 

  3. our existing or potential agents, business partners or partners;​ 

  4. specific third parties authorised by you to receive information held by us;

  5. and/or other persons, including government agencies, regulatory bodies and law enforcement agencies, or as required, authorised or permitted by law.

We may hold your personal information in either electronic or hard copy form. We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference and loss, as well as unauthorised access, modification or disclosure and we use a number of physical, administrative, personnel and technical measures to protect your personal information. However, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information.

How do we communicate with our site visitors?

We may contact you using the personal information you provide, to troubleshoot problems with materials on the website, to resolve a dispute, to send updates, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our User Agreement, applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you. For these purposes we may contact you via email, telephone, text messages, and postal mail depending on the information you provide.

Accessing Or Correcting Your Personal Information

You can access the personal information we hold about you if you email us at mhmetrics@unsw.edu.au. Sometimes, we may not be able to provide you with access to all of your personal information and, where this is the case, we will tell you why. We may also need to verify your identity when you request your personal information. If you think that any personal information we hold about you is inaccurate, please email mhmetrics@unsw.edu.au. and we will take reasonable steps to ensure that it is corrected.

Making A Complaint

If you think we have breached the Privacy Act, or you wish to make a complaint about the way we have handled your personal information, you can email mhmetrics@unsw.edu.au. Please include your name, email address and/or telephone number and clearly describe your complaint. We will acknowledge your complaint and respond to you regarding your complaint within a reasonable period of time. If you think that we have failed to resolve the complaint satisfactorily, we will provide you with information about the further steps you can take.
